Lesson Description

In this class, children will learn to create the ‘street view’ of a building. They will be taught that artwork using a two point perspective will involve two vanishing points. They will also learn how to draw the line of horizon. They will understand  that the ground lies below the line of horizon, while the sky lies above.

The children will begin their artwork by marking two vanishing points on their paper. Then, they will learn how to neatly and carefully draw the structure of the building using a ruler. In addition, they will be taught how to draw doors and windows using the two point perspective.

They will learn how to add details by drawing the different levels of the building. They will carefully outline the building with a black sketch pen. The learners can complete the drawing by colouring it with shades of their choice!
