Lesson Description

Did you know that the pyramids of Giza are actually located outside Giza? How ironic! Maybe we can also create a pyramid of Giza in our own house!

In this class, your child will learn how to create a model of the pyramid of Giza. The instructor will help them understand what a pyramid is. They will also be provided with a brief history of the pyramids. They will begin their artwork by drawing a square. In this class, your child will practise measuring lines with a scale before drawing them.  They will even be taught how to draw an equilateral triangle. Then, they will learn how to create paper flaps with a scale. After the pyramid template is ready, they will practise cutting it out with a pair of scissors. As the class progresses, they will be taught how to create crease lines with a paperclip.  They will understand how to decorate their pyramid using sand and glue. They will complete their pyramid by detailing it with watercolours.
