Lesson Description

Review the Letter Sounds - Children will revise the letter sounds that have been completed so far which are “y”, “x”, “ch”, “sh”, “th”. “th”.

Blending - Children will learn to put individual sounds together and say them quickly to form words. This is how children will start to learn how to read words.

Listen & Write - Children will learn to listen to a sound, identify the sound, and then write down the sound. This will help them improve the connection between letter sound and letter formation.

How to learn effectively - have your child do only 1 letter a day which should take ~20 mins. There are 3 fun ways for children to learn each letter in the app -

  • Watch the fun and engaging video
  • Do the activity sheets
  • Play the learning games

Activity sheets are included for each class which you can download and print. These can be found in the “Activity Sheets” section of this video class. Children can use these activity sheets to follow along with the class. There are additional activity sheets as well for children to practice and gain a deeper understanding of the content.

Digital Learning Games are available for each letter as well. Your child can play these games and improve their understanding of letters and their sounds. You can find these games under the “Learning Games” section of this video class.

Parent Involvement - Parents guiding their child through this process could provide a better learning experience for the child. This course requires only 20 mins of learning every day. Here are the areas where parents might need to guide their child -

  • Printing or preparing the activity sheets
  • Helping out with new modules like Blending and Listen & Write
  • Helping the child with letter formation (writing)
  • Pausing and rewinding (if required)
