Lesson Description

In this art class, children will be introduced to the concept of one point perspective. This is a drawing technique that is used to make things look smaller, as they move further away (towards a single vanishing point). After this class, children will be able to draw objects on a flat surface while giving them a three dimensional look. Thus, they can make their artwork look more realistic.

They will begin by marking the vanishing point on the paper. Then, they will learn how to draw a cube. The children will understand that they need to keep the pencil pressure light while drawing. As they follow this class, children will practise drawing different types of lines, and realistic figures. They can even use this technique to draw other shapes. Over time, they will be able to draw three dimensional figures neatly and effortlessly!
